Role Description

The Area Sales Manager will oversee and drive sales operations within designated areas, ensuring excellent execution of sales strategies to meet company goals. Responsibilities include managing relationships with clients, developing and implementing marketing plans, analyzing sales data, and mentoring a sales team to maximize performance. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Khargone.

Qualifications

  • Strategic planning and sales development skills to drive revenue growth and achieve targets effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, forecasting, and using sales-related software tools.
  • Team leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and managing a team to achieve collective goals.
  • Ability to travel within the designated area for client meetings and business development initiatives.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and competitive market.
  • Knowledge of the food and beverages industry, especially related to soft drinks and spices, is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience in sales management is an asset.
  • Minimum 5-10 year of experience in FMCG specially in Spice and food

Roles And Reasonability

Manage and develop distributors to achieve primary and secondary sales targets.

Appoint, train, and monitor distributor sales teams and field staff.

Plan and execute beat plans, market coverage, and route productivity.

Drive secondary sales through effective schemes, visibility, and market activation.

Monitor stock availability, billing, and secondary movement at distributor points.

Ensure timely collection and control outstanding payments as per company policy.

Analyze sales performance and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Implement company sales strategies, promotions, and new product launches.

Conduct regular market visits to identify opportunities and competition activities.
