About The Role
We are an NABL-accredited, ISO 15189:2022-certified diagnostic laboratory — one of the most trusted names in pathology and molecular testing in Bihar — and we're expanding our sales footprint.
We're looking for a driven
Area Sales Manager who knows the Patna healthcare market inside out. This role is for someone who thrives on the field, builds relationships with ease, and has a track record of growing test volumes and revenue in diagnostic or pharma sales. If you've worked with referral networks, doctor communities, or hospital partnerships before — we want to talk.
You'll be a key growth driver for our organization, owning your territory, managing partnerships, and directly contributing to patient reach and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Generate business from physicians, clinics, hospitals, and diagnostic referral networks
- Build and expand referral partnerships across the assigned territory
- Drive consistent growth in test volumes and monthly revenue targets
Client Relationship Management
- Nurture long-term relationships with doctors, healthcare professionals, and clinic administrators
- Execute structured follow-up plans to ensure engagement and retention
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts
Market Expansion
- Identify untapped geographies and new business opportunities within Patna and surrounding areas
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform strategy
- Promote lab services, health packages, and new offerings to target segments
Team & Operations Coordination
- Guide and track field sales representatives (if team is assigned)
- Coordinate with lab operations to ensure timely report delivery and client satisfaction
- Resolve escalations and ensure a consistently high service experience
Required Skills
- Proven B2B sales and territory management ability in healthcare/diagnostics/pharma
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills within doctor and hospital communities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up discipline
- Familiarity with diagnostic services, test portfolios, or healthcare packages is a strong plus
- Self-starter with a target-driven mindset and high ownership
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred
- 4–5 years of experience in diagnostic lab sales, pharma sales, or healthcare services
- Prior experience managing doctor/hospital referral networks is preferred
- Candidates from Dr. Lal PathLabs, Thyrocare, Metropolis, SRL, or leading pharma companies will be given preference
- Strong local market knowledge of Patna and Bihar
