JOB DESCRIPTION

AREA SALES MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE Direct the commercial management of a specific region. Plan, organize,

coordinate and control the sales and targets established to ensure the

planification and implementation of results in the sales roadmap. Manage the

performance of the sales teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Create annual and quarterly sales plans and forecasts.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve sales targets.
  • Set clear performance expectations and regularly evaluate team members performance.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Address customer inquiries, issues, and concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Product Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of the company's solvent products, their applications, and benefits.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify new business opportunities and target markets to expand the company's presence in the region.
  • Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts to stay updated on market developments.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular sales reports and performance metrics for senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as necessary.

Budgeting: Manage the sales budget for the region, including forecasting and cost control.

Compliance and Ethics:

  • Ensure that all sales activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field (Master'sdegree is a plus).

EXPERIENCE: Proven experience with minimum 10-12 years of experience in sales roles within thechemical industry, with a focus on Phenol, and solvent sales.Must havestrong knowledge of the Indian chemical industry and market dynamics.
