The Opportunity:
The incumbent is accountable and responsible for sales operations and collections in the assigned territory to achieve targeted sales volumes, value, and net contributions through the promotion and sale of lab consumables. The incumbent should be a techno-commercial professional responsible for sales operations, margins, new product development, and collections within the assigned territory.
Works independently under close supervision to manage and grow customer relationships within the assigned territory. Drives sales while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention, acting as the primary point of contact post-sale. Engages with customers through both in-person and digital channels to support clients and respond to inquiries effectively.
What we're looking for:
Education: Graduation/Post-graduation in Science an MBA is preferable.
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in lab consumables sales/technical support.
How you will thrive and create an impact:
Identify the right set of customers, promote products, and achieve sales goals for the given territory for glassware, plasticware, and the complete consumables portfolio of VWR.
Develop channels for sales and promotion while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Manage key accounts and work closely with channel distributors to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Develop new business within the assigned geographic territory and with designated clients.
Implement business strategies successfully to drive profitable sales growth.
Follow up diligently on leads received from other areas of the organization.
Be responsible for the preparation of sales forecasts.
Function as a segment expert understand market issues and trends impacting the designated segment.
Identify new key accounts, distributors/channel partners, and direct trade opportunities.
Coordinate market development activities, including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, monitoring competitors products, and mapping and managing key accounts.
Conduct market surveys to assess product potential and competition market share.
Provide pre-sales and after-sales support, including product education and advisory services.
