Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Executive role based in Pune. The Area Sales Executive will be responsible for managing and growing sales of surgical products and medical devices within an assigned territory, including regular visits to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions. Responsibilities include identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, and ensuring effective post-sales support. The role involves coordinating with internal teams for order processing, inventory planning, and timely deliveries, while maintaining accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and market intelligence. The Area Sales Executive will also build strong relationships with surgeons, procurement teams, and other stakeholders, while staying updated on competitors, market trends, and relevant clinical developments.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in field sales, territory management, and account development within healthcare, medical devices, or related industries.
  • Strong abilities in relationship building, stakeholder management, and customer service, especially with surgeons and hospital decision-makers.
  • Competence in communication, negotiation, and presentation, including the ability to explain technical or clinical product features clearly.
  • Solid organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with attention to detail in reporting, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Comfort with using basic digital tools (e.g., MS Office, CRM or sales tracking systems, email, and virtual meeting platforms).
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, business, or a related field preferred; relevant sales certifications are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales is highly desirable; fresh graduates with strong sales aptitude may also be considered.
  • Ability to work on-site in Pune, travel within the assigned territory, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
