Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Area Operations Manager based in Tirupur, Andhra Pradesh. The role will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure smooth execution of logistics processes, and manage a team to meet performance goals. Responsibilities include supervising last-mile logistics, optimizing resource allocation, maintaining quality and efficiency, and fostering strong relationships with team members and partners. The role also involves monitoring operational metrics and implementing strategies to improve delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong team management and leadership skills, with experience in supervising teams or leading operational units
- Excellent logistical planning, resource optimization, and decision-making skills
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or last-mile operations
- Prior exposure to Amazon EDSP or DSP operations is preferred
- Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stations and field teams.
- Proven experience managing operational KPIs and P&L.
- Proficiency in performance tracking, data analysis, and reporting tools
- Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to resolving challenges
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Familiarity with relevant industry software and a strong aptitude for working in a technology-driven environment
Qualifications
- Strong operational management skills, including ability to oversee logistics, ensure on-time deliveries, and optimize supply chain processes
- Leadership and team management skills, with experience in supervising and motivating diverse team members
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess operational metrics and implement performance improvements
- Knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and delivery operations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- Proficiency in using software tools or technology platforms for logistics and operations management
- Adaptability and decisiveness in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is an advantage
