Role Description The Area Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad, responsible for overseeing security operations across multiple client locations within the assigned territory. The Area Manager will supervise site managers and security personnel, ensure adherence to company policies and client-specific security protocols, and maintain high standards of service delivery. This role will involve regular site visits, scheduling and deployment of guards, performance monitoring, and prompt resolution of operational issues or incidents. The Area Manager will coordinate closely with clients to understand their requirements, manage expectations, and provide regular reports on security performance, risks, and improvements. The position will also contribute to staff training, compliance with legal and safety standards, budget control for the area, and support business growth through quality service and strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security operations management, facilities management, or related field, preferably in a multi-site environment.
- Strong people management skills, including team leadership, performance management, and frontline workforce supervision.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships, handle escalations professionally, and manage expectations effectively.
- Sound understanding of security protocols, safety regulations, and basic legal and compliance requirements in guarding services.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to assess risks, respond to incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Effective communication and reporting skills, including the ability to prepare clear operational updates and documentation.
- Competence in using MS Office tools and basic operational systems for scheduling, reporting, and data tracking.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned area and work flexible hours as required by operational needs.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred; relevant certifications in security management or safety are an advantage.
- Experience working with large, distributed teams and familiarity with Pan-India or regional operations is beneficial.
