Job Context:

The Legal department would validate the regulatory & compliance requirements for the new business initiatives and product launches, conclude the litigations raised by or against the company, establish a sound corporate governance framework, execute legal agreements and provide transactional support in the investment processes.

State / Area Legal Manager is responsible for providing assistance for all legal requirements of the organization pertaining to the litigation aspect. He/ she would provide complete assistance to the Regional Legal Manager. This would include coordination with counsels for litigation, assisting in legal / statutory audits and maintaining detailed MIS and coverage reports of the proceedings.

Themajor challengesin this role are keeping abreast of the latest legal/statutory amendments, knowledge about various legal documents & liaisoning with multiple regulators

To assist in legal department in liaisoning for filing of cases

To manage recovery litigation cases filed in their respective state/areas under the supervision of RLM.

To give evidence, examine as witness on behalf of ABFL filed cases,

To assist in formulating the pleadings of the lawsuits

To assist in formulating the claims & counter claims, arguments & evidences for the cases

Updating status of cases filed against directors and against the company

Draft/respond to notices sent by customers/counter parties/statutory authorities.

To coordinate with external counsels & law firms.

  • To coordinate with advocates on record for updating legal status of cases filed by & against the company
  • To manage cases arising out of various disputes and collection activity in their respective state/area, for entire retail and Digital portfolio.
  • To coordinate with Law firms, Advocates and Counsels with respect to the litigation for and against the company in their respective state/area.

To Manage Field Execution

  • To manage cases under Section 9 and 17 of Arbitration and its proceedings and to represent the company before District courts.
  • To file and pursue Execution Petitions filed under Code of Civil Procedure in district courts.

Crisis Management

  • To Manage crisis situation arising on account of complaints filed by borrowers against the company or its officials.
  • To coordinate law enforcement agencies.
  • To ensure that hassle free environment is maintained at all branches in the Area/state.

Record Management

  • To maintain all records / files of cases filed by/against the company for future reference and records.

  2. Legal Officer:To manage Collection team in field for recovery through legal orders, Warrant execution, Notices Services, MIS updation & publication.
