Role Description

HDFC Bank is seeking an Area Head for its Government and Institutional Banking (GIB) Solutions Enablement division. As an Area Head, you will manage and strengthen relationships with government bodies and public sector institutions, Educational Institute's and (Trusts, Associations, Societies, and Clubs). Key responsibilities include driving business development for Payment Gateway, POS, UPI, NACH and Tailored Solutions. You will work closely with local government representatives and internal stakeholders such as ops, Branch Banking. to enhance engagement and ensure effective delivery of banking products and services. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Government, Educational Institute's Relations and extensive experience working with Local Government and Public Sector bodies.
• Excellent Communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients and internal teams.
• Awareness of the complex regulatory and operational guidelines of government bodies regarding the product specifications.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills for evaluating client needs, developing tailored solutions, and achieving set objectives.
• Proven experience in the banking or financial services sector, particularly in government and institutional banking, is a plus.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage projects, and deliver results within deadlines.
• A Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields. Any other courses or certification done in digital/fintech is an added advantage.
