Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Analysis & Underwriting: Oversee and conduct thorough due diligence in credit analysis, including screening customer applications, evaluating financial viability, underwriting, and sanctioning loans.
  • Credit Risk Strategy: Develop, enhance, and execute the consumer credit risk strategy to ensure sustainable growth and minimize potential losses.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation: Strengthen risk management capabilities within the automotive finance portfolio. This includes identifying and managing various credit risks, implementing effective mechanisms to mitigate them, and establishing guidelines for fraud detection and control in adherence to regulatory requirements and leading industry practices.
  • Credit Buying Process Management: Manage the entire credit buying process, meticulously monitoring turnarounds, approvals, and conducting regular reviews of samples. Implement and enforce quality checks on all credit processes.
  • Portfolio Performance & Analytics: Assist in the design and implementation of predictive portfolio performance models. This involves developing analytical frameworks, establishing performance triggers, and implementing predictive forecasting triggers for effective portfolio management.
  • Quantitative Validation & Measurement: Conduct quantitative validations and demonstrate a strong understanding and management of credit risk, pricing, and risk measurements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in credit analysis, underwriting, and risk management, preferably within the automotive finance or consumer lending sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit risk strategies, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in portfolio performance analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
