Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Credit Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct thorough research and evaluation of clients creditworthiness, analyzing financial data and risk factors to make informed lending decisions.
  • Credit Scoring & Risk Prediction: Develop and refine credit scoring models to accurately predict potential risks associated with loan applications.
  • Loan Approval & Rejection: Authorize or decline loan requests for various products, including secured, unsecured, working capital, and Loan Against Property (LAP), based on comprehensive assessment of credibility, potential revenues, and potential losses.
  • End-to-End Loan Processing: Efficiently evaluate and process end-to-end loan applications within agreed-upon Turnaround Time (TAT) timelines, ensuring a smooth and timely customer experience.
  • Interest Rate Calculation: Accurately calculate and set appropriate interest rates for approved loans, aligning with company policies and market conditions.
  • Audit & Quality Control: Ensure timely clearance of open audit queries and perform regular quality control checks on credit processes and documentation.
  • Vendor Management: Timely complete all activities related to Vendor Management that fall under the credit function.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients, aiming for mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Payment Monitoring: Monitor loan payments and ensure adherence to repayment schedules, initiating appropriate actions for overdue accounts.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all loan applications, approvals, rejections, and related documentation.
  • Business Support & Optimization: Provide robust support to the overall Business Plan by ensuring quick turnaround times for new and existing loan proposals. Work collaboratively with the team to optimize returns while strictly adhering to the defined risk appetite.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in researching and evaluating clients creditworthiness.
  • Ability to create and utilize credit scoring models for risk prediction.
  • Experience in approving or rejecting loan requests for various types (secured, unsecured, working capital, LAP).
  • Capability to evaluate and process end-to-end loan applications within TAT.
  • Proficiency in calculating and setting interest rates.
  • Experience with timely clearance of open audit queries and quality control checks.
  • Ability to negotiate loan terms with clients.
  • Skills in monitoring payments and maintaining accurate loan application records.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities related to credit risk.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
