Role Description The Area Coach (Area Manager) is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing multiple store locations to ensure consistent operational excellence. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring store performance, guiding store teams, and ensuring adherence to company standards for customer service, inventory management, and visual merchandising. The role involves analyzing sales data, implementing improvement plans, and supporting store leadership in achieving revenue and efficiency targets. The Area Coach will also coordinate staff training, help resolve operational issues, and promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across all assigned stores.
Qualifications

• Experience in retail or grocery operations, with the ability to manage multiple locations and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
• Strong leadership, team coaching, and people management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop store leaders and staff.
• Competence in sales analysis, performance tracking, and basic financial understanding to support store profitability and cost control.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills to handle customer concerns and operational challenges.
• Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage diverse responsibilities across stores.
• Familiarity with inventory management practices, merchandising standards, and basic retail technology systems or POS tools.
• Flexibility to work on-site in Chennai, including weekends and peak business hours as needed.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or area manager role in retail or a related sector is preferred; a diploma or degree in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
