architect plans, designs, and reviews the construction of buildings and physical structures while balancing aesthetics, safety, budget, and local regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Consultation: Meet with clients to define project goals, style preferences, functional needs, and budgets.Design & Planning: Create conceptual sketches, detailed blueprints, and 3D models using software like AutoCAD or Revit.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, fire safety rules, and accessibility standards.Collaboration: Coordinate with structural engineers, interior designers, contractors, and municipal authorities.Project Management: Prepare cost estimates, manage bidding documents, and monitor project timelines.Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction matches the approved architectural plans and quality standards.Key Skills & QualificationsTechnical Proficiency: Expertise in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).Communication: Ability to present design ideas clearly to clients, stakeholders, and construction teams.Problem-Solving: Skill in resolving technical and structural issues that arise during construction.Education & Licensing: A professional degree in architecture (such as a B.Arch), practical work experience, and relevant state or national licensure/registration.
