+6 An architect plans, designs, and oversees the construction or renovation of buildings. They bridge the gap between creative design and technical execution, working closely with clients, engineers, and construction teams to create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing structures.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Consultation: Meet with clients to determine project goals, space requirements, budgets, and timelines.Design & Drafting: Create preliminary sketches, 3D renderings, and detailed construction blueprints using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs conform to local zoning laws, building codes, fire regulations, and accessibility standards.Project Management: Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate systems seamlessly into the design.Site Administration: Conduct regular visits to construction sites to monitor progress, ensure compliance with architectural plans, and resolve on-site issues.Essential QualificationsEducation: A professional Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.Licensure: Official state or regional architecture licensure (e.g., a recognized council of architecture certification).Technical Proficiency: Fluency in industry-standard drafting software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino.Soft Skills: Strong spatial visualization, mathematical reasoning, project management, and verbal communication skills.
