Position Type: Architectural Internship
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Intern with strong interest in working drawings and site execution. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-time projects, focusing on translating design concepts into precise technical drawings and assisting in site coordination.
This role is ideal for students or fresh graduates who want to build strong technical and practical knowledge in architecture and interiors.
Key Responsibilities
- Working Drawings & Documentation
- Assist in preparing detailed working drawings including:
- Architectural plans
- Sections and elevations
- Toilet and kitchen details
- Flooring layouts
- Furniture and joinery drawings
- Door and window schedules
- Modify drawings based on site updates and design revisions
- Maintain drawing records and revision logs
- Assist in preparing GFC (Good for Construction) drawings
Site Work & Coordination
- Assist in site visits for measurements and documentation
- Prepare site measurement drawings
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors under supervision
- Document site progress through photographs and notes
- Assist in verifying execution as per drawings
Required Skills
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Sketchup and rendering software
- Understanding of working drawings and detailing
- Ability to read plans, sections, and elevations
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong willingness to learn practical aspects of architecture
- Basic knowledge of materials and construction methods
- Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Skills-
Familiarity with:
- SketchUp
- AutoCAD
- Photoshop
- Excel
Understanding of:
- Joinery detailing
- Interior working drawings
- Site measurement methods
- Prior internship or site exposure (not mandatory)
Working Details
- Location: Chandigarh
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- Stipend: ₹5,000 – ₹10,000/month (based on skills)
