About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Architectural Draughtsman to join our TMBS Engineering team in Kochi, India. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in architectural drafting for modular buildings, industrial facilities, oil & gas, petrochemical, or related construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong AutoCAD drafting skills, a sound understanding of architectural and structural disciplines, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare architectural drawings in line with company standards and project requirements.
- Develop deliverables such as architectural layouts, equipment layouts, and related project drawings.
- Revise drawings and incorporate comments received from clients, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure clash-free installation.
- Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTO) based on drawing details.
- Maintain drawing registers, update files, and implement revisions as directed by engineers.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and coordinate design updates.
- Provide construction support by explaining drawings and resolving technical queries from site teams.
- Attend project meetings and support engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely submission of deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification drafting experience.
- Strong experience in AutoCAD drafting.
- Good understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
- Experience preparing architectural layouts, construction drawings, and revisions.
- Knowledge of MTO preparation from drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Modular Building projects.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, or EPC environments.
- Knowledge of 3D software such as Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM tools.
- Experience in 3D model review and multidisciplinary coordination.
