Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architectural Drafter role based in Guwahati. The Architectural Drafter will translate design concepts and sketches into accurate architectural and construction drawings using appropriate drafting tools and software. Responsibilities include preparing detailed plans, sections, elevations, and working drawings, as well as updating and revising drawings based on design iterations, site conditions, and stakeholder feedback. The role involves coordinating with architects, designers, and consultants to ensure drawings meet project specifications, codes, and standards. The Architectural Drafter will also support documentation for planning approvals, assist in quantity take-offs related to drawings, and maintain organized drawing sets and digital files.
Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and detailed documentation.
  • Foundational understanding of Architecture and Planning principles to interpret design intent and apply relevant standards.
  • Competence in technical Drawing and drafting, including precise line work, dimensions, and annotations.
  • Relevant academic background, such as a diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD/BIM and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing packages under deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working closely with architects, designers, and consultants in an on-site studio environment.
