About the role:
We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Mid-Senior Architectural Draftsman for our engineering team. This role ensures technical integrity and cross-disciplinary coordination for major Offshore / Marine / Oil & Gas projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of high-precision 2D AutoCAD drawings for complex industrial layouts.
- Review and validate General Arrangement (GA) drawings and detailed layouts for accuracy.
- Coordinate with Structural, Piping, HVAC, and E&I teams to integrate design updates.
- Oversee the generation of detailed Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
- Ensure compliance with international codes, industry regulations, and project requirements.
- Support the engineering lead in reviewing vendor drawings and fabrication documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior draftsmen.
Requirements:
- MTech / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- 3–7 years of drafting experience in Offshore / Marine / Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Deep understanding of international codes and industry-specific regulations.
- Ability to develop details for fire-rated, blast-resistant, and offshore insulation systems.
- Strong leadership potential and communication skills for stakeholder coordination.
Preferred Skills:
- AutoCAD 3D / BIM Software / Navisworks
