Technical Design Architect / Senior Infrastructure Consultant
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Design Architect / Senior Infrastructure Consultant to support enterprise customers in designing, presenting, and delivering modern infrastructure solutions.
This is a senior customer-facing architectural consulting role, not a pure support or operations role.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable engaging with enterprise customers, leading technical workshops, presenting solutions, supporting pre-sales discussions, and advising customers on infrastructure modernization.
The role requires broad IT infrastructure knowledge across storage, networking, Unix/Linux, cloud, automation/scripting, data protection, and emerging technologies such as AI/AIOps.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a senior technical consultant for enterprise infrastructure solution discussions.
- Lead customer-facing technical workshops, solution presentations, and architecture review sessions.
- Support pre-sales activities including discovery, technical qualification, solution design, RFP/RFI responses, and proposal input.
- Present infrastructure and storage solutions confidently to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Design high-level and low-level infrastructure solutions across storage, compute, network, backup, cloud, and automation layers.
- Advise customers on data center modernization, hybrid cloud adoption, storage transformation, cyber resilience, and infrastructure optimization.
- Work closely with sales, delivery, product, and engineering teams to shape customer solutions.
- Provide technical leadership during solution validation, proof-of-concept, migration planning, and delivery handover.
- Stay current with emerging technologies including AI, AIOps, automation, cloud-native infrastructure, and modern data platforms.
Mandatory Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, solution architecture, or technical consulting.
- Strong customer-facing experience, including solution presentations, technical workshops, or pre-sales engagements.
- Broad infrastructure knowledge across:
- Enterprise storage platforms
- SAN/NAS/Object storage
- Networking fundamentals
- Unix/Linux systems
- Backup and disaster recovery
- Virtualization / VMware
- Public or hybrid cloud
- Experience designing and presenting infrastructure solutions to enterprise customers.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into architecture, solution design, and implementation approach.
- Experience with HLD/LLD, solution documentation, RFP/RFI responses, or technical proposals.
Good to Have
- Experience with Pure Storage or other enterprise storage platforms such as Dell EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, IBM, or HPE.
- Experience in pre-sales, advisory consulting, or expert services.
- Exposure to scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of AI/AIOps, observability, cyber recovery, or modern data protection platforms.
- Experience presenting at customer events, partner workshops, technology forums, or executive briefings.
- Background from OEM, Expert Labs, professional services, solution consulting, or enterprise architecture teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior architectural consultant who can confidently stand in front of customers, present solutions, handle technical objections, and advise on modern infrastructure strategy.
We are not looking for a pure storage administrator, operations engineer, or migration-only engineer. The successful candidate should bring a strong mix of technical depth, broad infrastructure knowledge, consulting presence, and customer-facing confidence.
