Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architectural Modeller role based in Chennai. The Architectural Modeller will develop detailed 3D building models, drawings, and documentation using BIM and related digital tools, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements and design standards. Responsibilities include interpreting architectural plans and specifications, coordinating with design and engineering teams, and updating models throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves preparing views, schedules, and clash-free models to support design reviews, client presentations, and construction coordination. The Architectural Modeller will also contribute to improving internal modelling standards, adopting new tools, and supporting quality checks on project deliverables.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in architectural 3D modelling and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Archicad, or similar) and experience producing detailed architectural models and documentation.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and markups, and translate them into accurate and coordinated digital models.
- Experience in coordinating models with structural and MEP teams, including clash detection, model updates, and issue tracking.
- Familiarity with digital transformation concepts in AECO, such as VR/AR workflows, Digital Twins, and model-based collaboration.
- Solid understanding of building design principles, construction methods, building codes, and standards relevant to architectural projects.
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to work with defined modelling standards and templates.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams in an on-site environment.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in BIM or digital tools are a plus.
- Prior experience in modelling for large-scale or complex buildings (e.g., commercial, residential, institutional, or mixed-use) is highly desirable.
- Willingness to learn new tools and workflows, adapt to evolving project requirements, and contribute to process improvements.
