Job Title: Senior Software Tester

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester with extensive experience in API testing, specifically using REST Assured. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team to ensure the successful execution of testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for API services using REST Assured.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application architecture and identify testing requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on APIs to ensure reliability and performance.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Maintain and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Document testing processes, results, and defects in a clear and concise manner.
• Mentor junior testers and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices.
  
  

Mandatory Skills

• Proven experience with REST Assured for API testing.
• Strong understanding of RESTful web services and API protocols.
• Experience in test automation and scripting.
• Proficiency in Java programming language.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.

• Experience with other testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, TestNG).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
