Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design: Define and own end-to-end (E2E) solution architecture across commercial lending domains, including origination, underwriting, credit analysis, and servicing.12
Strategy & Business Alignment: Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and Credit Risk Officers to translate complex business requirements into scalable, technology-driven solutions.23
Governance & Standards: Participate in design authority reviews, ensuring architectural governance principles and robust implementation design are upheld. Facilitate solution reviews, design walkthroughs, and stakeholder discussions.13
Technical Leadership: Evaluate and recommend techniques, practices, and technologies (cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and system integration patterns) to ensure efficient, resilient application architectures.13
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentoring to junior consultants and developers, fostering skill development within the team.123
Risk & Compliance: Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization. Ensure all solution designs remain compliant with regional and global lending regulations (e.g., Basel, IFRS9, Fair Lending acts).12
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in Information System Development and Solution/Technical Architecture within the Financial Services industry, specifically Commercial Banking.23
Domain Expertise: Advanced knowledge of commercial lending products (C&I loans, CRE, Syndicated Loans, Asset-Based Lending) and the end-to-end loan lifecycle.2
Technical Proficiency
Experience with leading commercial lending platforms (e.g., nCino, Finastra, FIS, Oracle Banking).2
Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices, including Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.12
Knowledge of integration technologies, API-driven architectures, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).123
Analytical Ability: Strong skills in credit risk assessment, data analysis, and financial modeling. Ability to convert complex data points into actionable insights for the client.23
Communication: Excellent presentation and documentation skills; capable of communicating complex lending logic and architectural designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
