Lead Wedding Architect (Full-Time)
Location: Chennai, TN (On-site & Office-based) Experience: 2–5 years (Wedding or Event Production experience preferred)
The Role
We are looking for a Full-Time Architect to join our design and production powerhouse in Chennai. You won't just be drawing buildings; you will be designing immersive environments. From massive, self-supporting Mandaps to complex spatial layouts for 1,000+ guests, you will be the bridge between a couple's dream and structural reality.
Core Responsibilities
- Site Mapping & Recce: Conduct detailed site surveys of major Chennai venues (ITC Grand Chola, ECR Resorts, etc.) to create accurate AutoCAD base maps.
- 3D Visualization: Develop high-fidelity 3D walkthroughs and renders (SketchUp/V-Ray/Lumina) for client presentations.
- Structural Design: Design temporary but safe structures including stage backdrops, entry tunnels, and floral installations.
- Vendor Management: Work closely with carpenters and fabricators to ensure the physical build matches your technical drawings to the millimeter.
- On-Site Coordination: Lead the overnight setup transitions (especially for those tight 7:30 AM Muhurthams) to ensure design integrity.
Requirements
- B.Arch or B.Des from a recognized institute.
- Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Availability: This is a Full-Time role based in Chennai. You must be comfortable with the wedding season schedule, which includes weekend site visits and late-night setup supervision.
- The Wedding Eye: Previous experience in the wedding industry is a massive plus. You should understand event flow—how guests move, where the cameras sit, and how to design for impact.
