Role Overview
The Architect will support the faade engineering team by translating architectural concepts into practical, buildable faade solutions. The role demands strong design sensitivity, sound technical judgment, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering
- Develop conceptual faade designs, preliminary details, and concept reports.
- Assist in faade and structure engineering assessments to ensure technical soundness.
- Convert architectural intent into feasible faade system details.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Participate in design meetings with architects and consultants, contributing aesthitical and engineering perspectives.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, clients, engineers, project leaders, and suppliers to refine designs and resolve issues.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and managers, working both independently and collaboratively.
Drafting & Documentation
- Prepare 2D CAD drawings including shop drawing support, curtain wall layouts, and material schedules.
- Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive faade tender packages.
- Manage internal drawing documentation, revisions, and control procedures.
- Update models and drawings as per design changes and project requirements.
Project & Delivery Management
- Monitor submission schedules and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables within budget.
- Review design outputs for practicality, buildability, and compliance with project standards.
- Support problem-solving across project stages by liaising with all stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's preferred but not mandatory.
- 15 years of experience in faade design, building envelopes, or related architectural roles.
- Strong understanding of faade systems, materials, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in CAD; knowledge of Revit, Rhino, Sketchup or other 3D tools is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and Presentation, documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment.
