Role Summary

As an Advisory Developer/ Architect within Delta's Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE), you will partner across the enterprise to help teams maximize the value of the Salesforce platform. Delta's Salesforce COE supports all business units using Salesforce productsso this role requires natural curiosity, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to quickly understand diverse business needs.

In this role, you will serve as a technical advisor, solution designer, and subject matter expert, ensuring our Salesforce implementations follow best practices, are scalable, and continually optimized. You will own complex configuration work, guide business partners through effective solutioning, and collaborate closely with architects and developers to ensure technical designs are implemented successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical advisor to business and IT teams, guiding them on scalable Salesforce solutions and best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Delta to understand requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce configurations.
  • Champion development and integration standards, driving consistency and quality across all Salesforce implementations.
  • Deliver features using maintainable, scalable Salesforce configuration and metadata (objects, Lightning pages, flows, apps, permissions, etc.).
  • Partner closely with the Salesforce Process Architect and other Advisory Developers to ensure designs align with platform best practices.
  • Support business product owners during story development, ensuring technical user stories are well defined and actionable.
  • Create clear, reusable documentation to ensure transparency and continuity across all solution components.
  • Analyze, optimize, and enhance existing Salesforce implementations to ensure teams receive maximum value from the platform.
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and new features; assist with regression testing and impact analysis to protect business operations.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, resolve root causes, and advise when developer-level intervention is needed.
  • Demonstrate urgency, ownership, and a focus on Delta's broader strategic success.
  • Support off-hours escalations when needed.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Strong desire to maximize native Salesforce capabilities and design scalable, future ready solutions.
  • 10+ years of Salesforce experience, including significant hands-on configuration and solutioning.
  • Experience implementing Service Cloud and a deep understanding of Salesforce's object model and governor limits.
  • Familiarity with both synchronous and asynchronous processes and the ability to design around their constraints.
  • Proficiency in advanced admin capabilities such as Flows, Dynamic Forms, and other metadata-driven tools.
  • Hands-on understanding of object oriented programming concepts, Service Cloud capabilities, and in-app messaging with Einstein Bots.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to analyze integrations from the UI and collaborate with developers on deeper issues.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into clear, technical problem statements and solutions.
  • Comfortable working with users of all Salesforce experience levels.
  • Demonstrates inclusive thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and security.
  • Experience with deployments via Copado or similar Salesforce DevOps products

  • Familiarity with CRMA
  • Able to articulate the impact of design on Salesforce limits and long-term cost of ownership for a solution.
  • Experience managing teams in Agile frameworks
