Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced BI Solution Architect to design and lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data and BI platforms across cloud environments (Azure and GCP).
In this role, you will define end-to-end data architecture for ingestion, storage, processing, and transformation, while also driving enterprise BI strategy, visualization standards, and reporting governance. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and enterprise architects to deliver robust, production-ready data and analytics solutions aligned with organizational strategy and scalability goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture and Solution Design

• Define optimal architecture for data ingestion, storage, processing, and transformation across Azure/GCP
• Design scalable and resilient data platforms aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Create data models, data flow diagrams, and end-to-end architecture blueprints
• Ensure architecture is reviewed and aligned with enterprise and solution architects

Data Platform and Pipeline Design

• Design and oversee development of large-scale distributed data pipelines and data products
• Define standards for data ingestion, transformation, and serving layers
• Enable development of scalable, high-quality data products for analytics and reporting
• Promote modern architectures such as data lakes, lakehouses, and data mesh

BI Strategy and Architecture

• Drive enterprise BI strategy aligned with business goals and data platform capabilities
• Define and standardize BI architecture (cloud/on-premise) and technology stack (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP BO)
• Develop reusable blueprints, patterns, and accelerators for BI solutions
• Lead evaluation of BI tools and platforms through POCs and recommend optimal solutions
• Support industrialization of BI solutions for enterprise-wide adoption

Visualization Governance and Standards

• Define and enforce data visualization and dashboard development standards
• Establish governance frameworks to improve quality, consistency, and usability of dashboards
• Perform technical reviews of dashboards before production deployment
• Guide teams in building intuitive, high-performance, and business-friendly visualizations
• Support and upskill business users in effective dashboard usage and maintenance

Data Governance and Enterprise Data Management

• Define and enforce enterprise data management practices across BI and data platforms
• Drive metadata management, master and reference data practices
• Define data quality frameworks, validation rules, and monitoring mechanisms
• Ensure audit, balance, and control processes for data integrity and consistency
• Establish technical glossary and data standards across teams

Security and Access Management

• Define and enforce access management and security standards across data and BI platforms
• Implement modern security controls for sensitive data
• Ensure compliance with organizational data policies and regulatory requirements

Performance Optimization and Monitoring

• Define strategies for performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization of data pipelines and dashboards
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of BI solutions
• Establish monitoring frameworks for proactive issue detection

Leadership and Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to resolve technical challenges
• Act as a domain lead for specific business areas and drive domain-specific data solutions
• Mentor and guide data engineers and associate architects

Data Lifecycle and Operations

• Own data lifecycle management including ingestion, processing, storage, and archival
• Ensure 24/7 reliability and support readiness of critical data and BI platforms
• Drive best practices for scalability, resilience, and sustainability

Costing, Planning and Optimization

• Perform size estimation and costing for data and BI platforms
• Optimize infrastructure and tool usage to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO)
• Monitor usage patterns and recommend improvements
• Lead development of comprehensive migration strategy and roadmap for Tableau to Power BI transition
• Design dual-platform architecture to ensure business continuity during migration
• Drive legacy system rationalization and asset optimization strategies

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, big data, or data architecture roles
• Strong expertise in Azure and GCP data ecosystems
• Proven experience designing large-scale data platforms and pipelines
• Strong experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SAP BO
• Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed systems
• Experience with modern data architectures (data lake, lakehouse, data mesh)
• Strong understanding of BI architecture, dashboarding, and visualization best practices
• Expertise in data governance, data quality, and lifecycle management
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise data platforms and multi-cloud environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation in data engineering and BI
• Exposure to real-time/streaming data architectures
• Experience leading BI transformation or modernization initiatives
• Certifications in Azure or GCP data engineering/architecture
