About the Role
We are looking for an experienced ArcGIS Web & Enterprise Developer to design, develop, and support GIS-based web applications and enterprise solutions. This role is ideal for someone with strong full stack development skills who enjoys building scalable, user-centric applications while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive web applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
- Build intuitive user interfaces and interactive visualisations that enhance user experience and support data-driven decisions.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services to optimise application performance.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code, while participating in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues across the software stack.
- Develop and implement GIS workflows using the ArcGIS platform.
- Configure, administer and support ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with business users, UX designers and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Implement database security, access controls and compliance requirements.
- Automate database loading, maintenance and monitoring processes using SQL and Python.
- Support database design, migration, integration and performance optimisation initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software development with strong experience building modern web applications.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing or administering ArcGIS solutions, including ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and React.
- Good understanding of REST API integration and full stack application development.
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web design.
- Experience working with SQL Server or other relational databases, with strong SQL scripting skills.
- Experience using Python for automation and data processing.
- Good understanding of geospatial concepts such as coordinate systems, spatial data and spatial indexing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise High Availability (HA) deployment.
- Experience configuring ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise for Maritime Charting workflows.
- Experience supporting hydrographic datasets or nautical chart production.
- Familiarity with database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning and database security.
