Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and technically capable Mechanical and Electrical Engineering graduates to be trained and developed in MEP drafting, modelling, and BIM workflows using AutoCAD and Revit.
This apprenticeship is part of our strategic Mechanical / Electrical Engineering initiative to strengthen in‑house MEP design and BIM delivery capabilities for complex infrastructure, building services, and high‑integrity projects.
Your role
- Technical & Project Responsibilities
- Develop 2D drawings and 3D MEP models using AutoCAD and Revit (MEP) under senior engineer guidance.
- Prepare mechanical and electrical layouts including:
- HVAC systems (ducting, piping, equipment).
- Electrical power, lighting, and ELV layouts.
- Produce coordinated drawings, schedules, and model-based deliverables aligned with project requirements.
- Assist in clash detection, model coordination, and resolution with other disciplines (Architecture, Structural, MEP).
- Support revisions, updates, and quality checks based on engineering and client comment.
- Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, naming conventions, layering, and data management protocols.
- Participate in project-specific training related to quality, safety, and documentation procedures.
- Learning & Development
- Complete structured training modules on:
- MEP drafting and modelling fundamentals
- AutoCAD and Revit MEP workflows
- BIM coordination principles
- Gain exposure to international and local design codes and standards (IS, BS, ASHRAE, IEC, etc.).
- Learn the full lifecycle of MEP BIM delivery-from design intent interpretation to construction-ready outputs.
- Collaboration & Teamwork
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, BIM, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Communicate clearly on assigned tasks, progress, and technical clarifications.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, standardization, and digital capability-building initiatives.
About you
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Graduated within the last 1-2 years (2024 or 2025).
- Strong academic foundation and interest in MEP design, drafting, or BIM
- Motivation to build a career in project delivery.
- Basic understanding of Mechanical or Electrical building services systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Willingness to learn digital tools, BIM processes, and project standards.
- Strong attention to detail, logical thinking, and disciplined working approach.
- Preferred:
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, or Revit MEP (academic or internship level).
- Coursework or academic projects related to HVAC, electrical systems, or building services.
- Awareness of BIM concepts and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (IS, ASHRAE, IEC, BS).
