We are seeking a reliable and professional Appointment Scheduler to support a US-based medical practice by managing patient appointments, provider schedules, and patient communication efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physicians and providers.
- Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment eligibility.
- Coordinate provider calendars and maintain accurate scheduling.
- Send appointment reminders and follow-up calls to reduce no-shows.
- Document patient interactions and appointment notes in EMR/EHR systems.
- Assist patients with basic inquiries regarding appointments, referrals, and office procedures.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Work closely with front desk, billing, referrals, and clinical teams.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in US healthcare appointment scheduling or medical office support preferred.
- Knowledge of US healthcare terminology and patient scheduling workflows.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, or similar.
- Good understanding of insurance verification and referrals is an advantage.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
