Your Role

• Be the prime contact for all Applied Research related topics in India
• Handle Applied Research projects in India in close coordination with Applied Research team in Singapore
• Run Innovation tests including Blooming, Neofresh and Ever etc. for BU CF and FF
• Promote Symrise technologies in India to external customers and internal (perfumers/FDM, sales)
• Support sales on the technical side with MNCs and other local accounts
• Supervise Application lab in Mumbai in close collaboration with Application Manager in Chennai
• Liaise with Creation Head, FDMs and perfumers
• Generate in-depth understanding on technologies and formulations used in home care, personal care and fine fragrance products in India
• Inspire customers with new ideas relevant to the local market

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree (Bachelor/Masters) in Chemistry or related field
• Minimum 4-6 years or more in a similar capacity in the fragrance industry or in FMCG industry
• Hands-on lab experience is a must
• Excellent working knowledge in home care, personal care and fine fragrance formulations with focus on soap and fabric care (detergents, fabric softener)
• Excellent communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
• Possess Excellent English skills both written and spoken
• Understanding of production environment in FMCG industry especially in soap and detergent is a plus
• Basic olfactive skills are a plus.
