Job Title: Applied Data Science Intern (Python, Statistics, Visualisation)

Why this role exists

Medinex Workforce has years of hiring data: which sources bring good candidates, how long each role takes to fill, where candidates drop off, which clients renew. Data on its own does not answer those questions. Someone has to explore it, test ideas against it and explain what it says in plain words. As an Applied Data Science Intern, you will be that someone. You will work with real business datasets and present findings that help the team act with confidence instead of guesswork.

Your day-to-day

- Clean and prepare datasets using Python, Pandas and NumPy

- Explore data to find patterns, outliers and relationships

- Run statistical tests such as correlation, hypothesis testing and regression

- Build simple predictive models and check how well they perform

- Create clear charts using Matplotlib, Seaborn or Power BI

- Write short findings that non-technical team members can understand

- Document your notebooks so others can repeat your work

- Share progress in daily check-ins and a weekly review

You are a good fit if

- You know Python well, especially Pandas and NumPy

- You understand basic statistics (mean, variance, distributions, probability)

- You have used Matplotlib, Seaborn or a similar visualisation library

- You enjoy open-ended problems and checking whether an idea holds up

- You can explain results simply

- You have a laptop and a stable internet connection for full-time remote work

Nice to have, not required

- Basic SQL

- Exposure to Scikit-learn

- A Kaggle notebook, GitHub project or certificate

Who can apply

- Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (Statistics, Maths, CS, IT), MCA, M.Sc, MBA (Analytics) or related streams

- Self-taught learners who can show their skills through Kaggle notebooks, GitHub projects or certificates

- Freshers are welcome, and prior work experience is not required

- You must be available to work full-time for the internship period
