We're building the next generation of recruiting intelligence - combining ATS, CRM, communication workflows, and AI to help recruiters hire faster and smarter. Our platform already integrates LinkedIn, Emails, SMS, and Calling workflows, and we're now building advanced AI systems on top of it. You'll work on real-world AI problems including candidate matching, recommendation systems, communication intelligence, and workflow automation.

Salary : 10 - 13 lakhs per annum

About the Role:

We're looking for a Founding Applied AI Engineer to lead and build the core intelligence layer of Talie.

This is a high ownership role where you'll work directly with the founders and engineering team to shape the future of AI-powered recruiting workflows

• Build intelligent candidate-job matching and ranking systems
• Develop semantic search, retrieval, and recommendation pipelines
• Work with LLMs, embeddings, and AI workflows to improve recruiter productivity
• Build communication intelligence features across LinkedIn, Email, SMS, and Calls
• Design AI-powered recruiter copilots and next-best-action systems
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product teams, and founders
• Ship fast, experiment quickly, and improve AI systems based on real recruiter feedback

Desired Skills:

• 1 - 4 years of experience in Applied AI, Backend Engineering, or AI product development
• Strong Python skills and experience building APIs/services
• Experience working with LLMs, embeddings, semantic search, RAG, or recommendation systems
• Familiarity with vector databases, retrieval systems, or AI agent workflows
• Strong product thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership
• Experience with FastAPI, Postgres, or modern backend systems is a plus
• Bonus if you've built AI side projects, open-source contributions, or hackathon projects
