Job Description
The QA Engineer will be responsible for testing a
complex, integration‑driven business system with Salesforce at its core. The role requires
strong functional testing skills, deep understanding of integrations, and readiness to move toward automation with support from an existing automation team.
Responsibilities
Functional & Manual Testing
- Perform end‑to‑end functional testing of Salesforce‑based applications.
- Understand and test complex system integrations across multiple applications.
- Design and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Validate business workflows, approvals, and data flows.
- Identify defects clearly and work closely with development teams for resolution.
Integration & System Testing
- Validate data movement between Salesforce and downstream / upstream systems.
- Perform SIT‑level testing post individual QA cycles.
- Ensure system stability across releases and enhancements.
Automation Collaboration
- Work closely with the automation team to:
- Understand automation coverage
- Support test automation execution
- Gradually contribute to automation initiatives
- Learn and adopt Playwright + Python for automation over time.
Process & Collaboration
- Work effectively with cross‑functional teams (Business, Dev, Automation).
- Participate actively in defect triage, sprint ceremonies, and status discussions.
- Maintain high‑quality documentation and testing artefacts.
Qualifications
Technical Skills – Must Have
- Strong Manual Testing experience
- Solid understanding of QA fundamentals (test design, defect lifecycle)
- Hands‑on experience or exposure to Salesforce testing
- Strong logical and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
Technical Skills – Good to Have
- Knowledge of Playwright, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with Automation frameworks
- Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- Experience testing integration‑heavy systems
Behavioral & Soft Skills
- Fast learner with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently on complex systems
- Strong problem‑solving mindset
- Willingness to transition from manual to automation testing
