About the Team:

The IT Market Operations team within the Front Office Technology is responsible for technology platforms, applications, and support aligned with Markets Operations functions, ensuring reliable trade processing and operational workflows while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Summary:

In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for reconciliation platforms within IT Market Operations, driving architecture, stability, and regulatory compliance across trade and cash reconciliation systems. You will provide oversight of Linux environments, SQL data platforms, ETL processes, and Tidal-managed batch workflows to ensure accurate, timely, and controlled reconciliation operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Part of the team responsible for reconciliation platforms, building and supporting trade, cash, position, and other automated financial controls within Market Operations.
  • Work directly with end users to understand the current manual processes and propose automated solutions.
  • Perform data analysis to identify and suggest reconciliation rules that can be implemented.
  • Provide oversight across Linux-based systems, SQL data platforms, ETL pipelines, and Tidal-managed batch workflows.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reconciliation processes, implement robust controls and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Regularly review the existing automated processes to ensure any issues with ongoing processes can be proactively identified and addressed, with minimal user impact.
  • Lead resolution of critical production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Govern data integrity, exception management processes, and reporting frameworks aligned with audit and compliance standards.
  • Document all process flows, requirements, ensuring adherence to corporate IT documentation requirements.
  • Oversee platform modernization, automation initiatives, and performance optimization across reconciliation systems.
  • Build and mentor domain engineering teams, establishing technical standards and ensuring operational excellence across the reconciliation ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in technology engineering or production platforms within banking or capital markets, with strong exposure to reconciliation (trade, cash, or position reconciliation) systems.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Deep expertise in Linux environments, SQL data platforms, and ETL processes supporting large-scale reconciliation systems.
  • Strong understanding of the different financial instruments (Equities, FX, FI, Derivatives) traded across the globe and understand the trade flow & settlement process for the same.
  • Strong experience managing batch workflows and scheduling tools such as Tidal in high-volume, time-sensitive environments.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, post-trade controls, and reconciliation methodologies in regulated capital markets environments.
  • Proven leadership in platform governance, production stability, incident management, and regulatory compliance oversight.

Demonstrated ability to lead domain engineering teams and partner with senior operations, finance, and technology stakeholders.
