Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to manage production support, monitoring, and incident resolution for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in application and infrastructure monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting across production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end application support across Production and UAT environments
  • Perform daily health checks (CPU, memory, disk usage, services, processes)
  • Monitor applications using APM tools and dashboards to ensure high availability
  • Handle incident management, including analysis, RCA, and resolution within SLA timelines
  • Perform log analysis and troubleshoot application and server-level issues
  • Execute sanity checks post-deployment and maintenance activities
  • Monitor batch jobs and scheduled processes; resolve failures proactively
  • Configure and validate monitoring tools/agents on new servers
  • Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and DBA teams for issue resolution
  • Support deployment activities and perform post-implementation validation
  • Maintain documentation, incident reports, and daily status updates
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in Application Support (L1/L2 support)
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar APM tools
  • Proficiency in Linux (process monitoring, log analysis, troubleshooting)
  • Experience in incident management, RCA, and SLA-driven environments
  • Good understanding of log monitoring and alerting systems
  • Experience with ticketing tools like Jira or ITSM platforms
  • Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL or similar)
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) or MCA
  • Preferably in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
Good to Have
  • Exposure to AWS (EC2, monitoring tools)
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
  • Understanding of production support in Banking/Telecom domains

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in shifts and handle production incidents
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Proactive approach to monitoring and issue prevention
