We're hiring an Application Support Engineer to provide day-to-day support and maintenance for critical business applications. This role works closely with call center, development, L3 teams, and vendors to ensure application availability, stability, and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate issues using logs, DB queries, API traces, and system metrics
- Provide workarounds and identify bugs for escalation
- Perform minor data fixes and configuration updates
- Troubleshoot integrations and APIs
- Escalate complex issues to L3/vendors with clear documentation
- Monitor applications, handle alerts, and perform basic RCAs
- Support testing and deployment of patches/minor releases
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's in CS, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years in application support or similar IT role
- Working knowledge of ITIL or ITSM practices
- Hands-on with SQL and at least one scripting language (Python/PowerShell)
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
Optional / nice to have
- Experience with monitoring tools and basic release support
