Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 5-8 years of experience in application support, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of .NET technologies and SQL Server. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for business-critical applications.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve application-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with development teams to address bugs, performance issues, and enhancements.
  • Monitor application performance and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
  • Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, including query performance tuning and debugging.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document resolutions for recurring issues.
  • Support application deployments, updates, and patches in collaboration with the DevOps team.
  • Maintain incident and change management documentation to ensure compliance with business processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in application support and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, Web API, MVC, etc.).
  • Expertise in SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience in application monitoring, debugging, and performance analysis.
  • Good understanding of incident management, change management, and ITIL processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Knowledge of automation tools to improve efficiency in application support tasks.
