Responsibilities
- Deliver day-to-day application support for commodities trading platforms.
- Monitor system health, batch jobs, and real-time data feeds to ensure uninterrupted
- operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-raised issues efficiently.
- Conduct root cause analysis and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and third-party vendor teams.
- Execute and validate change requests, code deployments, and hotfixes.
- Contribute to the automation of support activities and system health checks.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery drills.
- Support end-of-day processes, trade lifecycle events, and report generation.
- Maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base content.
Experience
What you'll need to bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree Engineering / Computer Science / B.Tech / M.Tech /
- B.ScIT / M.ScIT / BE / ME / BCA / MCA.
- 4 7 years of experience in Application Support within Commodities or Capital Markets.
- Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle and commodities domain.
- Proficiency in SQL, Linux/Unix, and batch scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M).
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or MQ.
- Hands-on with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics).
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks for incident, problem, and change management.
- Prior experience with commodities trading platforms is a plus.
Nice to have:
- Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of risk and PnL reporting.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
