Summary:

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and diagnosing issues across various critical business system components. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and ensuring smooth operation of essential software infrastructure. The position demands continuous engagement with system performance, troubleshooting complex scenarios, and collaborating with different teams to maintain system reliability and efficiency throughout the day.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of software issues and minimize system downtime.
• Document and communicate findings and solutions clearly to support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance system stability and performance.
• Support junior team members by sharing expertise and providing guidance on troubleshooting techniques.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Aveva OSIsoft PI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities related to software system diagnostics.
• Experience with monitoring and maintaining real-time data infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret system logs and performance metrics to identify root causes of issues.
• Familiarity with software lifecycle processes and incident management.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Aveva OSIsoft PI.
• This position is based at our AMDC1A - NON-STPI location.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
