Application Production Support Analyst

Experience Level: 7 to 9 years

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Application Production Support Analyst to join our team, supporting a leading Investment Banking client. This role is critical for ensuring the stability and optimal performance of applications, with a focus on file transfer solutions and cloud migration support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for the migration of applications to cloud solutions.
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, and effective running of File Transfers using CFT and XFB Gateway.
  • Oversee the installation and effective operation of Sentinel for file transfer monitoring.
  • Address and resolve CFT incidents, diagnosing issues, determining severity and priority, and implementing actions to restore service efficiently.
  • Prepare, document, and execute changes in accordance with internal procedures, collaborating with various stakeholders and clients.
  • Verify the correct execution of change requests and, if necessary, implement robust backup plans.
  • Participate actively in the validation of monitoring setups, procedures, and Disaster Recovery exercises.
  • Provide essential application support outside of normal business hours as required.
  • Create and meticulously maintain up-to-date documentation in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Contribute significantly to maintaining and continuously improving operational quality.
  • Engage in regular communication and collaboration with teams from other technical fields, BPI, ITG, Helpdesk, various Business Lines, and external suppliers.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS), including experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Proficient knowledge of CFT/XFB Gateway on both Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Proven technical expertise with a strong interest in production support activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing incidents and problems is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Axway Sentinel (Monitoring tool for File Transfer).
  • Knowledge of Ansible Tower.
  • Understanding of PGP (Pretty Good Privacy).
  • Knowledge of Python, secure transport, shell, and Perl will be an added advantage.
  • Operational knowledge of the mainframe, including ISPF, JCL, and REXX.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Expertise in problem determination, workaround resolution, root cause analysis, and major incident management.
