Summary:

As an SAP KMS - Key Management Service Specialist, you will design, build, and configure key management and encryption solutions aligned with business and compliance needs. You will work with SAP Data Custodian to enable secure key lifecycle management and data protection across SAP Cloud applications and hybrid environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert in SAP KMS under SAP Data Custodian.
• Lead and manage a technical team performing key management service activities.
• Take ownership of technical decisions and act as a key contributor across teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure encryption and data privacy solutions.
• Support client engagements from design to implementation and support phases.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in conducting client workshops for SAP KMS solutioning.
• Hands-on in configuring and supporting KMS within SAP Cloud Platforms and SAP S/4HANA.
• Deep knowledge of encryption/decryption standards, including:
• Symmetric, Asymmetric, and Hybrid cryptographic approaches
• Experience in integrating SAP KMS with SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Proficient in managing cryptographic keys (creation, rotation, expiration, revocation).
• Knowledge of BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) and HYOK (Hold Your Own Key) models.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with regulatory/compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, DPDP, HIPAA).
• Expertise in customer-controlled key management systems and external HSM integration (e.g., Fortanix, Thales).
• Azure DevOps/AWS + KMS (Key Management services) experience is must
