About The Role
We are seeking experienced Application Support Engineers to join SkillsCapital's dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely with a renowned US multinational corporation that builds and operates large-scale enterprise platforms, cloud-native applications, SaaS products, and mission-critical systems. As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of critical applications used by thousands to millions of users worldwide. You will collaborate with distributed engineering, cloud operations, and product teams to troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and optimize system performance, ensuring seamless user experiences and high availability of services.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over three years of experience in application support, production support, or related technical roles. A strong understanding of application architectures, troubleshooting methodologies, and enterprise software systems is essential. Proficiency in SQL and database troubleshooting, along with experience working with incident management platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk, is required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience supporting cloud-based applications on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog or New Relic, are preferred. A background in scripting languages, microservices architectures, and CI/CD pipelines will be advantageous.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues across various environments including production, staging, and testing.
- Investigate incidents, service disruptions, performance bottlenecks, and user-reported issues to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement long-term solutions for recurring problems.
- Support application deployments, updates, upgrades, and routine maintenance activities to ensure system stability.
- Work closely with software engineers, DevOps, cloud engineers, product managers, and customer success teams to facilitate seamless operations.
- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes adhering to best practices and organizational policies.
- Analyze logs, system metrics, and monitoring dashboards to proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of critical production incidents and minimize downtime.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, known issues, operational runbooks, and best practices for future reference.
- Maintain high levels of system availability and reliability in production environments.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and incident response activities as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at operational excellence and enhancing customer experience.
