Job Description
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to head the MPU Application Engineering (AE) team in India. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, customer engagement, and application solutions for MPU products, while collaborating closely with global AE teams.
The position reports to the Director, Application Engineering in Japan and plays a key role in supporting customers across India and Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of MPU Application Engineers to deliver excellent technical support and customer success.
- Collaborate with Sales, FAE, Product Marketing, and Business Development teams to understand customer requirements and deliver effective technical solutions primarily across India and SEA.
- Support sales execution and new business development through technical leadership and customer engagement.
- Provide technical expertise, guidance, and training on MPU products to internal teams and customers.
- Manage customer escalations and drive timely resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
- Analyze customer feedback and market trends to influence product, solution, and roadmap decisions.
- Drive the creation of technical collateral, training materials, reference designs, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
- Oversee application engineering projects with ecosystem partners and design houses.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings relevant to MPU-based systems
Qualifications
- B.Tech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or related field (M.Tech preferred).
- 10+ years of professional industry experience in embedded systems.
- 3+ years of experience in leading engineering teams or managing technical projects.
Preferred Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate across global, cross-functional organizations.
- Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Hands-on technical expertise with MPUs supporting Linux and RTOS-based embedded systems.
- Solid understanding of hardware design, including MPU schematics, camera, display, and communication interfaces.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and multicultural stakeholders.
- Excellent English communication skills; proactive, agile, and results-oriented mindset.
