Brief Job Description:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using .NET, React, and React Native, supporting both web and mobile platforms.
  • Build and enhance REST/SOAP APIs, middleware services, and cloud-integrated solutions that connect Vertiv's internal and external business systems.
  • Implement AI plugin capabilities to enable intelligent automation, document processing, and enhanced user experiences within applications.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and drive secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Sales, Product, Security, and Change Management while contributing to DevOps pipelines, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Senior Software Engineer will work to achieve streamlined processes, superior quality of service, and outstanding reliability and availability.
  • Senior Software Engineer must be a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision, comes with can-do, jump-right-in attitude.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise IT applications using .NET, React, Angular, and React Native frameworks to support both web and mobile platforms.
  • Build responsive and modern UI components using React and develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, prototype new solution concepts, and contribute to proofofconcept development for emerging features and platform enhancements.
  • Design and implement APIs, Webservices, and cloudconnected integrations using .NET Core, C#, REST, SOAP, and microservices architectures.
  • Troubleshoot application issues by performing rootcause analysis, reviewing logs, debugging code, and deploying fixes according to established changemanagement processes.
  • Develop and optimize stored procedures, data extraction scripts, and complex SQL interactions across SQL Server and Oracle environments.
  • Maintain and enhance middleware services, reusable integration components, and enterprise application gateways used across Vertiv's IT ecosystem.
  • Support DevOps processes using Azure DevOps and TFS for CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, deployments, branching strategies, and environment configuration.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards, secure coding practices, and performance optimization guidelines.
  • Participate in requirement reviews across Sales, Engineering, and IT teams, translating business needs into development tasks with clear effort estimates.
  • Continually build domain knowledge around Vertiv IT systems, integrations, product structures, and enterprise architecture standards to improve design quality.
  • Design, develop, and integrate AI Plugins (OpenAI-style, Azure OpenAI, or custom plugin frameworks) into .NET, React, and mobile applications to enable intelligent automation, document understanding, and contextual assistance features.
  • Embed LLM-backed capabilities into application workflows by implementing REST-based AI endpoints, prompt-engineered logic, and secure AI-driven data-processing components.
  • Collaborate with Product Security, Change Management, and Technology Architecture teams to ensure all applications and integrations align with cybersecurity requirements, compliance standards, and enterprise architectural guidelines.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior developers in areas including .NET development, integration patterns, React/React Native best practices, and AI-enablement techniques

Required/ Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience designing and developing applications using:
    • .NET Framework 4+, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API
    • C# / VB.NET, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
    • Angular, React, and React Native for responsive web and mobile application development
  • Proficiency with backend databases (SQL Server, Oracle), including stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • High proficiency in developing RESTful APIs, SOAP services, microservices, and Windows services.
  • Experience with enterprise workflow platforms such as Nintex/K2 (Blackpearl/Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools including Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, and GitLab.
  • Strong understanding of JSON, XML, and middleware integration patterns for connecting custom homegrown applications with ERP/CRM/CPQ systems.
  • Experience building and integrating AI Plugins (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or custom plugin frameworks) to enable document processing, workflow automation, and AI-assisted application features.
  • Experience embedding LLM endpoints and promptdriven intelligence into .NET, React, or mobile applications.
  • Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving- effectively identify business issues and opportunities, assess proposed solutions, and meet stakeholder needs.

  • Planning & Team Skills - Ability to identify plan, communicate and execute projects from conception to completions. Team and project management experience, including the ability to build and lead cross-functional teams. Knowledge of software implementation methodology
  • Communication Skills- able to elicit and communicate requirements among stakeholders and present ideas in an easily comprehensible manner. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all organization levels.
  • Interaction Skills- able to work in a team setting and assist stakeholders in articulating problems and opportunities, establishing viable testing plans and reaching agreement on a quality future state. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Software Applications- skilled in use of contemporary project management and office productivity platforms to facilitate collaboration and communication among developers and stakeholders.

  • Adhere to software migration, documentation storage and retention policies as it relates to IT audit requirements.
  • Actively works on related projects to broaden experiences and help the business accomplish its goals.
  • Works on related projects as assigned.
  • Experience using Aspose for document or report generation and other 3rd party components like Telerik, DevExpress.
  • Experience with Docker containers and containerized application deployment.
  • Proficiency in hosting and managing applications on IIS; experience with server migration.
  • Deep expertise in Angular and reactive design patterns.
  • Experience with RPA tools (UiPath or similar).
  • Experience with SaaS applications such as Nintex/K2, Oracle CPQ Cloud, or Oracle Sales Cloud.
  • Understanding of Snowflake or modern data warehousing platforms.
