We are looking for a skilled and experienced Application Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration, including RAC environments, database performance tuning, patch management, backup and recovery, and high-availability solutions.
The role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments to ensure high performance, security, availability, and reliability for business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
- Manage and support Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) infrastructure.
- Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize system efficiency.
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Configure and maintain High Availability (HA) environments.
- Perform database restoration and recovery activities as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, incidents, and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with application development teams to support database requirements and optimize application performance.
- Monitor database health, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
- Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and recovery plans.
- Support production, testing, and development database environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters).
- Expertise in Database Patching and Upgrades.
- Strong experience in Database Performance Tuning and Optimization.
- Experience in Oracle Database Installation and Configuration.
- Hands-on experience with Backup and Recovery using RMAN.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Experience with Database Monitoring and Troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Oracle architecture and database internals.
Technical Skills
- Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c or later versions).
- Oracle RAC Administration.
- RMAN Backup & Recovery.
- Oracle Data Guard.
- Database Cloning and Migration.
- SQL and PL/SQL fundamentals.
- Linux/Unix administration basics.

- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.
- Exposure to Automation and Scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise database environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management practices.
