Job Title: Application Controls / Engineering Controls Lead

Job Location: Chennai & Hyderabad

Primary purpose: Address controls embedded within client's custom-developed applications and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Review custom applications including the client Platform, BSC, internal GL and other in-house systems.
• Identify application-level financial controls.
• Evaluate automated calculations, validations, approvals, and data integrity controls.
• Assess SDLC and deployment controls.
• Review code/configuration-related evidence.
• Identify control design gaps.
• Work with product and engineering teams on remediation.
• Support automated key-report controls.
• Document control logic and evidence requirements.
• Support TOD and TOE.

Ideal profile

• 6–10 years application controls/software engineering/technology risk.
• Strong understanding of software development practices.
• Experience with automated controls.
• SOX/IT audit experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read architecture, application logic, data models, and technical documentation.
