Your Role And Responsibilities
As an Application Architect for Cloud Migration, you will act as the overall architect for Cloud Migration Solution Design and delivery, leading client-facing activities. You will leverage your expertise in software architecture fundamentals and assets, utilizing the Garage Method for cloud solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Design Cloud Migration Solutions: Define migration strategy, architecture definition, and implementation for hybrid cloud platforms, utilizing expertise in rehost, refactor, rearchitect, replatform, and containerization.
- Lead Client-Facing Activities: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and map existing components/functionalities to Azure-specific services, highlighting advantages and disadvantages of related Azure Services.
- Develop Migration Pathways: Create migration pathways for applications, databases, and integration components, considering migration tools and network requirements.
- Deliver Solution Architecture: Utilize software architecture fundamentals and assets to design and deliver cloud migration solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and Azure services.
- Implement Cloud Solutions: Oversee the implementation of cloud migration solutions, ensuring successful deployment and integration with existing systems.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Cloud Migration Solution Design: Deep expertise in designing cloud migration solutions for hybrid cloud platforms, including migration strategy, architecture definition, and implementation.
- Azure Services Mapping: Experience with mapping existing components/functionalities to Azure-specific services, understanding the advantages and disadvantages of related Azure Services.
- Migration Technologies: Expertise in rehost, refactor, rearchitect, replatform, and containerization technologies for cloud migration.
- Migration Tools and Network: Experience with migration tools and understanding of migration network requirements for successful cloud migration.
- Hybrid Cloud Platform: Deep understanding of building migration solutions for hybrid cloud platforms, including application, database, and integration component migration pathways.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Cloud Migration Strategy Development: Experience with defining migration strategies for large-scale cloud migration projects, including assessing application portfolios and identifying opportunities for modernization and optimization.
- Advanced Azure Services Knowledge: Deep understanding of Azure services, including their advantages and disadvantages, to inform cloud migration solution design and implementation.
- Hybrid Cloud Integration Expertise: Experience with integrating cloud-based systems with on-premises infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange between hybrid cloud environments.
