Role Description
We are seeking an Application and Solution Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. Join Murata as an Application and Solution Engineer and become the technical bridge between Murata's cutting-edge wireless technologies and real-world customer solutions. You'll empower customers to seamlessly integrate Murata's communication modules and sensors including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LPWAN, UWB, Radar into their designs. From hands-on support to turnkey solution creation, your work will shape the future of connected systems.
Responsibilities
1. Technical Enablement
- Provide integration support for Murata's wireless portfolio: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LPWAN, UWB, Radar, C-V2X.
- Board bring-up and technical troubleshooting of problems during evaluation phase.
- Accelerate customer evaluation cycles by creating required technical collaterals like application notes, user guides & reference designs.
- Assist with product certification processes (FCC, CE).
- Guide customers on Linux-based host platforms, including Yocto build systems and device tree configurations.
- Develop compelling demos and proof-of-concepts to showcase product capabilities at events and engagements.
- Performance benchmarking of new modules (Throughput, Power consumption, Range)
2. Solution Development
- Identify market gaps and build holistic solutions using Murata products (communication and sensors) with help of partner ecosystem.
- Mature the solution through various technology readiness level, from PoC → Production
- Evaluate and onboard technical partners (labs, startups, institutions) based on capability & market relevance.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product engineering team to translate customer use cases into robust implementations.
- Partner with sales teams to ensure smooth customer journeys from initial engagement to mass production.
- Maintain strong relationships with ecosystem partners to co-create innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- B.E./B. Tech or an equivalent degree in Electronics or related discipline
- 1–3 years in embedded engineering (Must Have)
- Programming experience in embedded C/C++ (Must Have); Python and other scripting language is a plus (Could Have)
- Fair understanding of RTOS & Scheduling concepts (Should Have)
- Linux platform skills including device tree customization and Yocto build systems (Should Have).
- Hands-on experience with any one of Cortex-M platforms (e.g., STM32, NXP K32) or Cortex-A platforms (e.g., NXP i.MX, TI Sitara) (Should Have)
- Basics of any one of wireless technologies like Wi-Fi & Bluetooth (Should Have); exposure to LPWAN, UWB, Radar technologies is a plus. (Could Have)
- Basic knowledge RF communication & wireless certification standards is an advantage. (Could Have)
- Schematic design and/or PCB layout experience is a plus. (Could Have)
- Familiarity with any one of the bus protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, USB, SDIO. (Should Have)
- Experience in version control systems like Git to track changes and enable collaboration (Should Have)
- Experience in handling measurement tools – Multimeter, Oscilloscope. (Must Have)
- Experience in handling RF measurement tools is a plus - Spectrum & Network analyzers. (Could Have)
