Location: Pune, India

Role Description

AnAppian Developerspecializes in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using the Appian low-code automation platform. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution, focusing on process orchestration, automation, and data integration.

Your key responsibilities

• Application Design & Development: Build high-quality, scalable applications usingSAIL(Self-Assembling Interface Layer), process models, records, and business rules.
• Systems Integration: Connect Appian solutions with external systems viaREST/SOAP APIs, web services, and relational databases (SQL,Oracle).
• Process Automation: Implement automated workflows,RPA(Robotic Process Automation), andAIcapabilities to streamline complex business operations.
• Maintenance & Support: Troubleshoot application defects, optimize performance, and manage deployments through DevOps pipelines.
• Collaboration: Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical designs.

Your skills and experience

• Appian Platform: Deep expertise in Appian objects (Sites, Records, Reports) and version 20.x or higher.
• Programming: While low-code, proficiency inJava or .Net, JavaScript, andSQLis often required for custom plugins and data management.
• Data Handling: Strong understanding ofCDTs(Custom Data Types), data fabric architecture, and relational database design.
• Tools: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and development tools likeJira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Git.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is standard.
• Certifications: Most employers prefer or require Appian certifications, such asAssociate Developer (L1),Senior Developer (L2), orLead Developer (L3).
• Experience: Junior roles typically require 1-3 years of experience, while Senior or Lead roles often seek 5-8+ years of relevant IT and BPM experience
