Job Description

We are looking for a data-driven and growth-focused ASO Specialist to improve app visibility, organic downloads, and keyword rankings across app stores (Google Play Store & Apple App Store). The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, keyword research expertise, and hands-on experience in optimizing app listings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform keyword research to identify high-volume, low-competition keywords
  • Optimize app metadata (Title, Subtitle, Description, Keywords)
  • Improve conversion rate (CVR) through A/B testing of icons, screenshots, and videos
  • Track and analyze keyword rankings, installs, and performance metrics
  • Conduct competitor analysis and benchmark strategies
  • Manage app localization for different regions/languages
  • Monitor and improve app ratings & reviews (review management strategy)
  • Collaborate with design & marketing teams for creatives optimization
  • Stay updated with App Store & Google Play algorithm changes

Required Skills

Core ASO Skills

  • Strong understanding of App Store & Google Play ranking algorithms
  • Keyword research and clustering
  • Metadata optimization (Title, Short Description, Long Description)
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) for app listings
  • A/B testing (Google Play Experiments / Split testing tools)

Research & Analytical Skills

  • Ability to analyze keyword difficulty, search volume, and trends
  • Competitor research and gap analysis
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Understanding of user behavior and funnel optimization

Tools Knowledge (Must Have)

  • ASO Tools: Sensor Tower, App Annie (data.ai), Mobile Action, AppTweak
  • Keyword Tools: Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, SEMrush (basic knowledge)
  • Analytics: Firebase, Google Analytics, Play Console, App Store Connect
  • A/B Testing tools (Google Play Experiments)

KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Increase in keyword rankings
  • Growth in organic installs
  • Improvement in conversion rate (CVR)
  • App visibility & impressions
  • Ratings & reviews improvement

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience in ASO / Mobile Growth / App Marketing
  • Experience working with Android & iOS apps
  • Background in Digital Marketing / SEO is a plus
